“Last night’s game provided a mental break from the cycle of ‘what if’s’ and ‘if then’s’ that race through our brains always, but especially before every appointment. For a few hours last night, we cheered for our team, bought raffle tickets, ate pizza, and were out of our mental reality long enough to enjoy the game. When you’re in fight or flight mode for so long, you forget that it’s healthy to take a time out. To date each other again so you can be stronger for the future, to remember there’s a lot of life outside the mental load you carry daily, to be reminded we’re not alone and that there’s so much good in this world. Thank you for being some of our good!”
