Meet Athena, one of our HopeKids, and her family. Athena is a bright and creative spirit who finds joy and comfort in coloring and drawing. Diagnosed with pilocytic astrocytoma (a type of brain tumor), she has been a part of HopeKids since January 2023. As her mother shares, “HopeKids has given us so much more than just events, it has given us a sense of normalcy in a world often focused on Athena’s diagnosis. We are beyond thankful for these experiences, especially since we might not have been able to afford them otherwise.”
